Damon and Veronica DeCristoforo began Lindy's Homemade, LLC as a labor of love in 1998. The company, which began with fresh fruit, original recipes and a dream to sell italian ice by street cart, has since grown into a nationally selling company associated with large grocery chains such as Harris Teeter, Shop Rite, IGA, Galaxy, Ukrops, Farm Fresh, Giant, AWI, Acme, Ingles, Shaw's, Wal-Mart, Brunos, Victory, Giant Carlisle, Hannaford's, BiLo, Kash n' Karry, Demoulas, and Lowes Foods.

Lindy's Homemade, LLC based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is also sold at sports and entertainment events. To maintain the original dream, street carts are still operated during festivals and special events.

A letter from the owners
My father, Mario Lindbergh DeCristoforo, "Lucky Lindy" as he was known to friends, used to make Italian Ices for the kids of our neighborhood as I was growing up.

My Dad and I agreed that everyone should be so lucky as to enjoy this delicious and refreshing treat, but sadly never pursued it. After "Lindy" and my mom Zelda passed on in a tragic car accident (June 3rd, 1997), it became our goal to continue in their entrepreneurial spirit and put our heart and soul into creating healthy products for people of all ages to enjoy.

Their inspiration has continued to push us forward and today "Lindy's Homemade" products (Italian Ice, Sorbet & Gelato) can be found throughout the country. We thank them for their love and guidance and we thank our customers for all your support.
